Reputations

The Good News Today Is...the party is over. Celebrations are wonderful and having family around is terrific, but there is something to be said for getting back to the routine of everyday life. I am thankful that things are beginning to settle back down. The scripture reading for today is "Choose a good reputation over great riches; being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold." (Proverbs 22:1) So much has happened over this past week that seems to be teaching this lesson. Several times the younger people in my life, family and friends have made some very bad decisions that have tarnished their reputation. My prayer is that they wake up and smell the roses and learn to choose a good reputation over anything else. Becoming young adults with integrity and good reputation is a worthy effort. Just do it.
